20日、ドナルド・トランプ大統領が誕生しました。

今日は、ニューヨークタイムズが学生に求めた新大統領への期待と懸念について、その一部を読みたいと思います。
今のところ、移民問題の対処に大きな懸念を感じているコメントが圧倒的に多いです。このブログで取り上げるコメントを選択する上では、なるべく重複した内容をさけ、ポジティブな考えとネガティブな考えが同数になるようにしました。

I hope that Trump's second time in office will bring economic growth like the stock market gains during his first term. Many people believe in his “America's first policies” on improving the country's economy and protecting American interests.

The fears are democratic values like voting rights and equal treatment which some people will fear under his leadership. I find it pretty scary that Trump is back in office. With immigrant parents, I worry about how his policies could negatively affect families like mine. The possibility of stricter immigration laws and a less welcoming environment is concerning.

Frankly I feel like trump will be good for the economy of this country because over the past for years under the Biden administration the economy has been horrible. Simply items that would cost under a dollar like bread and milk now are costing anywhere from two to 3 dollars making a 3 times increase in the price of these basic products.

The housing economy has gone through the roof with the price average in America is now 419,000 dollars. Many people that have minimum wage pay can’t live in these prices. This is why trump will help the American people. Tthe economy will improve the country will improve under the Trump administration compared the democratic administration that Biden used.

Trump needs to unban （解禁する）gender affirming healthcare. Not providing gender affirming healthcare increases the risk of suicide. Transgender and nonbinary youth are even more likely to attempt suicide compared to cisgender（シスジェンダー）youth, while LGBTQ youth alone are already at four times higher risk to attempt suicide than non-LGBTQ peers.

The Trevor Project found that trans youth were 2 to 2.5 more times likely than queer cisgender peers, while Black transgender youth are at a shockingly higher risk with 1 in 4 attempting suicide in the past year. We are in a mental health epidemic.

The media has drastically expressed concern over President Trump’s flurry （騒動） of executive orders, new regulations, and derailment （中断）of other regulations. This was certainly a surprising move, as many presidents sign executive orders when they enter the White House but not of this scale and magnitude. While this is atypical, it’s the sign of a president willing to take action on his promises.

In the past couple of elections, presidents of either side have made promises and ignored them, ran as one division of a party then leaned to another side; in all of these cases, they have not stuck to their morals and values they ran on. President Trump however, has demonstrated through these executive orders that he is willing to stick to his promises and act on them, demonstrating initiate that any leader of the free world should possess.
