今回の若者のトランプ新大統領に対する期待と懸念は、テンプレートに当てはめたようなライティングのフォームで書いているのではありませんが、自分の実体験や他の人の受け売りのような意見ではなく、しっかり自分で考えた跡が見られる意見だと思うものです。完璧なライティングではないかもしれませんが、読み手の印象に残り、共感を得られる部分があるものを選びました。

Trump proposed that sweeping （全面的な）and across-the-board （一律の）tariffs　（関税） should be up to 20% on imports from all countries. There was also a 25% tax on foreign goods. I also feel like Trump will think he has too much power and do many bold things that will not be in our best interest. Experts say that in the first 100 days, the president is the most powerful and I feel he will use that to his advantage. As a Mexican male, I feel scared because of all the things he said about deporting （本国送還する）Latinos（ラテン系の人たち）. I know I have my citizenship due to being born here but it still feels scary.

トランプ氏は、すべての国からの輸入品に対して一律の広範囲にわたる関税を最大20%に引き上げることを提案しました。 外国製品には25%の税金も課されました。また、トランプ氏は自分が強大な権力を持っていると思い込み、私たちの利益にならないような大胆なことをたくさんするような気がします。専門家によると、大統領は就任後100日間が最も権力を持っている時期だと言いますが、私は彼がその権力を利用するだろうと感じています。メキシコ人の男性として、ラテン系の人々を国外追放するような発言を繰り返している彼に恐怖を感じています。私はここで生まれたことで米国籍を持っていることは分かっていますが、それでも怖いと感じます。

 A few things I am very surprised about was his withdrawal （離脱）of the U.S. from the Paris Climate Agreement （パリ協定）as a large population of the U.S. is still recovering from hurricane damage and wildfire damage. These recent events show why it is crucial to take action against climate change and I think that his actions have set us back （後退させる）from doing that. 

Another thing I was a bit shocked about was withdrawing （脱退）from the World Health Organization especially since we just recovered from a deadly pandemic not even a full 5 years ago. I will be paying attention to these issues throughout the next 4 years as well as anything regarding civil rights and education.

私が非常に驚いたことのいくつかは、米国の多くの地域がハリケーン被害や山火事被害からの復興の途上にあるというのに、トランプ大統領がパリ協定から米国を離脱させたことです。これらの最近の出来事は、気候変動対策がなぜ重要であるかを示しています。私は、彼の行動がその対策を後退させるものだと考えています。

また、特に5年も経っておらず、致命的なパンデミックから回復したばかりだというのに、世界保健機関（WHO）からの脱退は、私にとって少しショックでした。私は、今後4年間、これらの問題に注目するとともに、市民権や教育に関するあらゆる事柄にも注目していきます。

I feel the media has been overly （過剰に）dramatic. I feel in politics many things are political moves and you must look at things from a bigger picture. It’s a lot of “he said she said”. I try to stay away from politics, especially when I find many of my views differ from what people seem to expect from me. I’m not scared. I’m hoping our economy improves and prices lower as that’s been a huge issue for everyone, but especially my family. 

I don’t feel president Trump's main focus is sexuality （性的区別）as it is making America a better country. I agree that it is concerning some of the things he’s done so far in office and it’s only been a couple days, but I disagree with many of the false accusations （非難）I see across the internet. I feel as if both options that were presented were not great.

メディアが過剰にドラマチックに報じていると感じます。政治の世界では、多くのことが政治的な動きであり、物事を大局的に見る必要があります。「彼がこう言った、彼女がこう言った」ということが多すぎます。特に、私の意見が人々が私に期待していることと異なる場合、政治から距離を置くようにしています。私は恐れてはいません。経済が改善し、物価が下がることを期待しています。なぜなら、それは誰もが抱える大きな問題であり、特に私の家族にとっては深刻な問題だからです。

トランプ大統領の主な関心が性別にあるとは思えません。アメリカをより良い国にするためだ。就任以来の彼の行動のいくつかについては懸念があるという意見には同意しますが、就任からまだ数日しか経ってません。しかし、インターネット上で目にする多くの誤った非難には同意できません。提示された（大統領候補の）選択肢はどちらも素晴らしいものではないと感じています。
