ニューヨーク市住宅開発公社（HDC）は、低・中間所得者層、その間に属する所得者層向けの住宅の建設と維持を資金面で支援することで、集合住宅の供給を増やし、経済成長を促進し、地域の活性化を図ることを目的としています。

👩"moderate-income"は、低所得と中所得の中間の所得層を表します。日本語に該当する表現がないため、順番を替えてなるべく自然に流れるようにしました。(´;ω;｀)

④ RGB

ニューヨーク市家賃ガイドライン委員会

The NYC Rent Guidelines Board (RGB) is mandated to establish rent adjustments for the approximately one million dwelling units subject to the Rent Stabilization Law in New York City. 

ニューヨーク市家賃ガイドライン委員会（RGB）は、ニューヨーク市の家賃安定法に該当する約100万戸の住居の家賃調整を行うこととされています。

👩"back-to-back"は、住宅が背中合わせになっている、という意味もあります。（主にイギリス）アメリカでは、「次から次へと」、「立て続けに」といった意味もあり、住宅関連の発表なので、かけているのだと思います。

New York City Mayor Eric Adams today announced back-to-back record-breaking calendar years producing critically-needed affordable housing across the five boroughs as the city faces a generational housing crisis. The New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) broke the following city records in 2024: 

ニューヨーク市のエリック・アダムズ市長は本日（2025年２月14日）、同市が長年にわたる住宅危機に直面する中、5つの行政区全域で必要不可欠な、低所得者向けに手ごろな価格の住宅を供給し、次から次へと記録を更新したことを発表しました。ニューヨーク市住宅保全開発局（HPD）は2024年に、以下の市記録を更新しました。

●Back-to-back years of most units produced for formerly homeless, with 4,623 total units. 

ホームレス状態だった人々のための住宅供給戸数が立て続けに最多となり、合計4,623戸となった。 

●Back-to-back years of most supportive units produced, with 2,761 total units. 

支援付き住宅供給戸数が立て続けに最多となり、合計2,761戸となった。 

●Record year of most senior units produced, with 2,966 total units. 

シニア向け住宅供給戸数が過去最多となり、合計2,966戸となった。

アダムズ市長の言葉を一部引用します。

“A home is more than just four walls and a roof; it’s the key to unlocking the American Dream, a path towards stability, and an opportunity that’s been out of grasp for too many for too long,” said Mayor Adams. 

「家とは単なる4つの壁と屋根以上のものです。それはアメリカンドリームへの鍵であり、安定への道であり、あまりにも長い間あまりにも多くの人々にとってつかむことのできなかったものでした。

“Since day one of our administration, building housing and bringing down the cost of living has been one of our top priorities. 

政権発足以来、住宅建設と生活コストの削減は、私たちの最優先事項のひとつでした。

Thanks to our team, working alongside advocates and everyday New Yorkers, we have moved the ball forward — and the numbers show it, with the most units produced for formerly homeless New Yorkers in city history, the most supportive housing units produced in city history, and the most senior housing units produced in city history!

これらの統計の数字それぞれの後ろには、世界最大の都市で暮らすために必要な住宅を見つけたニューヨーク市民がいます。手に入れることのできる価格の住宅不足という問題に正面から取り組むためには、大胆かつ野心的であり続け、ニューヨーク市民が必要とし、住めて当然な住宅を建設するために、あらゆる場所をくまなく探し続けなければなりません。」

👩今回の発表の内容は、住宅に限ったものだったので、生活コストの価格高騰には触れられていません。雇用、賃金、生活コストについては、まだまだ行政の対策や支援が必要です。
