As of January 1, 2025, the minimum wage in New York City is $16.50 per hour. The New York State Department of Labor (NYSDOL) oversees wage regulations in New York State.

2025年1月1日より、ニューヨーク市の最低賃金は時給16.50ドルとなります。ニューヨーク州の賃金規定は、ニューヨーク州労働局（NYSDOL）が管轄しています。

Starting January 1, 2025, in New York City, tipped service employees must be paid at least a $13.75 Cash Wage per hour with a $2.75 Tip Credit, tipped food service workers must be paid at least a $11.00 Cash Wage per hour with a $5.50 Tip Credit and all other employees in New York City must be paid at least $16.50 per hour.

2025年1月1日より、ニューヨーク市では、チップ制サービス従業員の時給は最低でも13.75ドル（チップ保証2.75ドルが加わり、あわせて16.50ドル）となり、チップ制フードサービス従業員の時給は最低でも11ドル（チップ保証5.50ドルが加わる）となります。また、ニューヨーク市内のその他のすべての従業員の時給は最低でも16.50ドルとなります。

Under the Wage Theft Prevention Act, private employers in New York State must provide all of their employees (both exempt and non-exempt) with a pay notice. This pay notice must include the following information:

賃金横領防止法（Wage Theft Prevention Act）により、ニューヨーク州の民間雇用主は、適用除外および適用対象の従業員全員に給与通知書を交付することが義務付けられています。この給与通知書には、以下の情報を記載する必要があります。

●Pay rate, including overtime if applicable;
賃金レート、該当する場合は時間外労働を含むもの

●How the employee is paid (hourly, shift, day, week, piece, etc.);

従業員の給与算定方法（時給、シフト、日給、週給、出来高払いなど)

●When pay day is;
給与支払日

●The Doing Business As (DBA) name of the employer; and
雇用主の通称（DBA）名

👩”DBA”は、看板などに書いてある「店の名前」のことです。書類などに書く正式名称とは異なる場合があるのです。

●Contact information of the employer, such as the address and telephone number
雇用主の連絡先（住所や電話番号など）

●Any allowances towards the minimum wage(tips, meals, lodging, etc);
最低賃金にプラスされる手当（チップ、食事、宿泊など）

👩チップは、一旦雇用主に渡して、雇用主からもらうということですね。

Businesses should keep copies of all of their pay notices.
会社は、給与通知のコピーをすべて保管しておいてください。

最近はチップ制を廃止しようという動きもあるようです。その理由を少し調べてみようと思います。
