More than 100 homeless New Yorkers have tested positive for the coronavirus as the disease hits New York’s most vulnerable, new tallies released Monday show.
The Department of Homeless Services said that 109 homeless New Yorkers have contracted the frightening illness, with 99 cases in the city’s sprawling shelter system as of Sunday.

ホームレス局（DHS)は、今までに109人のホームレスが感染しており、99人は日曜日の時点で市のあちこちにあるシェルターにいる、と言っている。

DHS counted another seven cases among the street homeless and another three cases from New Yorkers who do not have a permanent address and were referred from another government agency or nonprofit.
That’s up sharply from the 62 cases that DHS tallied across the city — including the shelter and street homeless populations — in its count released Friday.
DHSの調べでは、その他の７人は路上生活者、３人は住所がなく、他の政府機関や非営利団体から報告を受けたケースだ。
DHSが全市で数をまとめ（シェルターや路上ホームレスの数を含む）、金曜日に発表した数が62人だったがそれから急激に増えている。

The agency reported that 27 homeless New Yorkers who live in the shelter system are currently hospitalized, while another 45 are currently in isolation rooms that DHS has leased.
Additionally, there are 23 homeless New Yorkers with mild symptoms — 14 of whom agreed to self-isolation in their rooms until their symptoms resolve, while another nine made other arrangements, including leaving the shelter system to stay with their families.

DHS spokesman Isaac McGinn said that shelters are “comprehensively cleaned” after positive tests are reported.
“We’re working hard and fast with government partners and providers to respond to changing realities on the ground, prioritizing the New Yorkers we serve, adapting together to the situation, and following health experts evolving guidance in the process,” McGinn said in a statement.
DHSのアイザック・マックギンは、シェルターは陽性が確認された後、「徹底的に清掃されている」と言っている。
