クラシック音楽のコンサートと言えば、音響設備が完備されたコンサートホールで、高いチケットを買って鑑賞するものというイメージがあるかもしれませんが、ニューヨークは違います。

公園で楽しめるのです！

これからのニューヨークフィルの公園でのコンサートをホームページからご紹介します。

主催するのは、ディディ・アンド・オスカー・シェーファーという、夫妻です。オスカー・シェーファーは、投資銀行家、慈善家、ニューヨーク・フィルハーモニックの名誉会長。
妻のディディとともに、2015年にフィルハーモニー管弦楽団に2,500万ドルを寄付しました。これは、歴史上最大の個人寄付だったそうです。彼らは毎年夏行われる、ニューヨークフィルの公園コンサートシリーズを主宰しています。

The New York Philharmonic Concerts in the Parks, Presented by Didi and Oscar Schafer, have become an iconic New York summer experience since they began in 1965, transforming parks throughout the city into a patchwork of picnickers enjoying friends, family, and music under the stars, for free!

ニューヨーク・フィルハーモニック・コンサート・イン・ザ・パークスは、ディディ＆オスカー・シェーファーが主催し、1965年に始まって以来、ニューヨークの夏を象徴するイベントとなって街中の公園を、星空の下で友人や家族、音楽を無料で楽しむ人たちの広げるピクニックシートのパッチワークに変えています！

This summer Music Director Jaap van Zweden conducts two iconic masterpieces — Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony and Copland’s Fanfare for the Common Man — plus a potpourri of overtures by Rossini and J. Strauss II, and works by NY Phil Very Young Composers.

この夏、音楽監督ヤープ・ヴァン・ズヴェーデンは、ベートーヴェンの交響曲第5番とコープランドの「ファンファーレ・フォー・ザ・コモンマン」という2つの代表的な傑作に加え、ロッシーニやJ・シュトラウス2世の序曲のメドレー、NYフィル若手作曲家の作品などを指揮します。

All outdoor performances begin at 8:00 PM and are followed by fireworks. The Free Indoor Concert in Staten Island begins at 4:00 PM.

すべての屋外公演は午後8:00に始まり、その後花火が打ち上げられます。スタテンアイランドの無料屋内コンサートは午後4:00に始まります。
