日本では、障害者雇用促進法があり、従業員が一定数以上の規模の事業主は、従業員に占める身体障害者・知的障害者・精神障害者の割合を「法定雇用率」以上にする義務があります。 民間企業の法定雇用率は2.3%だそうです。 従業員を43.5人以上雇用している事業主は、障害者を１人以上雇用しなければならないということです。

日本は「義務」として障がい者を雇用しますが、昨日ご紹介した、『ポップコーン・フォア・ザ・ピープル』は、球団と、企業とチームを組んで、障碍者、特に自閉症の人たちに働く目的を与えた障がい者支援団体です。

This weekend, the relationship between the Eagles and Popcorn for the People continued to expand with the addition of corporate sponsors.

この週末、（アメリカのプロフットボールチーム---NFLの）フィラデルフィアイーグルスと(
障がい者雇用支援団体の）『ポップコーン・フォー・ザ・ピープル』の関係は、企業スポンサーを加えてさらに拡大しました。

Along with Wawa and Nouryon, the Eagles pledged to turn a closed Wawa location into a production facility for Popcorn for the People and opened a permanent stand at Lincoln Financial Field, located in Pepsi Plaza.

イーグルスは、（ガソリンスタンド兼コンビニの）ワワと（化学メーカーの）ヌーリオンとともに、閉店したワワの店舗を『ポップコーン・フォー・ザ・ピープル』の生産施設にすることを約束し、リンカーン・ファイナンシャル・フィールドのペプシ・プラザに常設スタンドをオープンしました。

"Our relationships with each of them have evolved into a collaborative partnership that is creating new employment opportunities for neurodiverse and disabled individuals in Philadelphia," Eagles Chairman and CEO Jeffrey Lurie said.

Leaders from Wawa, Nouryon, the Eagles, and the Eagles Autism Foundation were in attendance for the announcement of the groundbreaking multimillion-dollar investment that culminated in a process of perfect timing and teamwork.

Fulfilling Lives of Autistic Individuals at Former Wawa Store

We're here at 9th and South Street today. It's really an awesome day, so we love opening Wawa stores. This was one, but sometimes they just don't work out for a host of reasons. This one has been reborn in a really amazing way. Today, in a really unique partnership, Wawa, the Eagles autism foundation, and nonprofit called Popcorn for the People came together. And that conversation led to an idea which led to the transformation of this location from not a Wawa but to a popcorn factory.

今日は9番街とサウスストリートの角に来ています。今日は本当に素晴らしい日です。ワワ（Wawa)ストアの開店をとても喜んでいます。この店はワワストアの一つでした。店というのはいろいろな理由でうまくいかないことがあるものです。でもこの店は本当に驚くべき方法で生まれ変わったのです。 今日、ワワ、イーグルスの自閉症基金、そしてポップコーン・フォー・ザ・ピープルという非営利団体が、実にユニークなパートナーシップを結びました。そして話し合いの結果が、この場所をワワの店舗ではなくポップコーン工場に変えるというアイデアにつながりました。

You're taking your person giving him a purpose. Nobody wants to be unemployed and give him a good reason to get up in the morning. Wawa has been in the supported employment space for over 40 years. It's a great partnership that started organically with Eden Center for Autism in New Jersey. And It's grown as we've grown to now over 500 Associates in every state.  We operate in an amazing thing to be able to create so many jobs in the neurodiverse population individuals with autism.

従業員に目的を与えるでしょう。失業したいなんて思う人はいません。だから朝起きるのにきちんとした理由を与えましょう。ワワは40年以上前から支援のある雇用の分野で活動しています。その活動は、ニュージャージー州のエデン自閉症センターと有機的に提携して始めた素晴らしいパートナーシップです。そしてそのパートナーシップは、現在では各州に500以上の提携店舗を持つまでになるのと同時に成長しました。私たちは、自閉症という多様な神経的特徴をもった人たちに多くの仕事をしてもらうことができるという素晴らしい店を経営しています。

I really am excited because it's making the business expand that's one. Two, it's helping me maybe reach out to more people maybe and three help the autistic community throughout the American hopefully the rest of the world.

とても嬉しいです。ひとつ目の理由は、このことがビジネスを拡大させているからです。二つ目の理由は、このことで私がより多くの人々に手を差し伸べることができるということ、そして三つ目は、これは多分アメリカ中の、そしてできれば世界中の自閉症の人たちを支援することができるからということです。

This is changing generations. I think it really just creates this ripple effect that it's all for good when you think about what's possible. And you have partners. Iit really is limitless .
