Sometimes strolling through beautiful nature isn’t enough—a true main character（主人公） moment demands rolling down the windows, blasting（大きな音で鳴らす） your favorite songs, and letting the views pass you by at 55mph. Fortunately, New York State is home to one of the most scenic drives in the country, known as the High Peaks Byway in the Adirondacks.

Completed in September of 1994 and carrying more than four million annual travelers, the High Peaks Scenic Byway (New York State Route 73) stretches 30 miles across the beautiful landscape of the Adirondacks.

1994年9月に完成し、年間400万人以上の旅行者が利用するハイピークス・シーニック・バイウェイ（ニューヨーク州道73号線）は、アディロンダック山脈の美しい景観の中を30マイル（約48km）に渡って続いています。

Drivers get to（～する機会を得る） weave（曲がりくねった道を通り抜ける） through stunning mountain passes, river valleys and lush forests along their journey. Peaks seen from Route 73 stretch up to 4,000 feet above sea level—the length of three stacked（積み重ねる） Empire State Buildings!

息をのむような山岳路や川沿いの渓谷、緑豊かな森林を縫うように走れます。73号線から望む山頂は海抜4,000フィート（約1,200メートル）に達し、これはエンパイア・ステート・ビルディングを3つ積み重ねた高さに相当します！

The byway effectively connects Adirondack Northway (I- 87) Exit 30 to Lake Placid and the Olympic Byway, with access points for hiking, boating, canoeing, biking, rock climbing, fishing, white water rafting, and sightseeing in between.

このバイウェイは、アディロンダック・ノースウェイ（I-87）の30番出口とレイクプラシッドおよびオリンピック・バイウェイを結んでいて、その間にはハイキング、ボート遊び、カヌー、サイクリング、ロッククライミング、釣り、急流下り、観光などのスポットがあるので、さまざまに楽しめます。
