コロナで飲食業界は大きなダメージを被りました。
日本政府は「Go-To-Eat」キャンペーンで支援していますが、ポイントの使い方などで問題も出てきました。

「Go-To イート」キャンペーンについて、農林水産省のページには次のように書いてあります。

新型コロナウイルス感染症対策分科会からの提言（令和2年11月20日付け）を踏まえ、令和2年11月24日以降順次、都道府県ごとに食事券の新規発行の一時停止や、利用者に対し既に発行された食事券やオンライン飲食予約サイトで付与されたポイントの利用を控える旨の呼びかけを行っています。呼びかけを行っている都道府県では、Go To Eatキャンペーンにより得た食事券・ポイントの利用を、極力控えていただくようご協力とご理解をお願いします。

ニューヨークでもレストランに様々な形で支援を行っていますが、今日はニューロシェルが行っている「レストラン感謝週間」の取り組みを見ていきます。

New Rochelle's first-of-its-kind dining event is expected to be a win for local dining establishments and a win for foodies in the area.

It hasn't been easy for restaurants the past couple of years, but New Rochelle officials are planning a chance for us to show our support and be richly rewarded at the same time.

ここ数年、レストランは楽ではありませんでしたが、ニューヨーク州のニューロシェル市では、住民がサポートを示し、同時に十分お返しがもらえるしくみを計画しています。

The New Rochelle Downtown Business Improvement District will launch the first ever Restaurant Appreciation week to help boost downtown restaurants. More than 20 restaurants will offer menus with $25 and $45 specials for dine-in and takeout from March 1, to March 10.

「ニューロシェル・ダウンタウン・ビジネス振興区」は、ダウンタウンのレストランを盛り上げるために、初のレストラン感謝週間を開始します。20以上のレストランが、3月1日から3月10日まで、食事とテイクアウトで25ドルや45ドルの特別メニューを提供します。

"We know everyone loves our New Rochelle Downtown restaurants because we have so much variety here," New Rochelle Downtown Business Improvement District Director Karel Littman said. "Come join us. Restaurant Appreciation Week is a great time to support our dedicated dining entrepreneurs and at the same time get a taste

ニューロシェル・ダウンタウン・ビジネス振興区の代表であるカレル・リットマン氏は、「我々はみんなニューロシェルダウンタウンのレストランが大好きです。とてもバラエティーに富んでいるからです」、「是非来てください。レストラン感謝週間は頑張っているレストラン経営者を支援すると同時に美味しいものを楽しめる絶好の機会です。」と話しています。と述べています。

New Rochelle downtown is undergoing a remarkable transformation, Littman's group points out. New apartment buildings in all stages of development are being added to the mix downtown. New Rochelle Downtown Restaurant Appreciation Week is seen as a way for people of all ages who are interested in the area to experience the excitement and to sample downtown's wide variety of international cuisines.

ニューロシェルのダウンタウンは、目覚しい変貌を遂げているとリットマン氏周辺は指摘しています。ダウンタウンでは、あちこちで新しい住宅が建設中です。「ニューロシェル・ダウンタウン・レストラン感謝週間」は、この地域に関心を持つあらゆる年齢層の人々が楽しんで、ダウンタウンにあるさまざまな国の料理を試してみる良い機会になると考えられています。

There is something to suit everyone's taste with so many multicultural and varied cuisines — including authentic Argentinian, Caribbean, Colombian, Italian, Jamaican, Mexican, Peruvian and American South and West flavors, organizers explained.

The New Rochelle Downtown Restaurant Appreciation Week Specials are available in person for dine-in and take out, depending on the special and to order by phone (directly calling the restaurant only).
