The team from the parenting website Nameberry released a list Monday of the 23 baby names it believes will rise to the top in 2023.

育児サイト「ネームベリー」のチームは月曜日、2023年にトップに躍り出ると思われる23の赤ちゃんの名前のリストを発表しました。

Forget Olivia, Emma, Liam and Noah, the chief baby names for 2022. Celebrities like Billie EIlish, Dolly Parton and Scarlett Johansson are predicted to make an impact.

オリビア、エマ、リアム、ノアといった、2022年の主役級の赤ちゃんの名前は忘れよう。ビリー・アイリッシュ、ドリー・パートン、スカーレット・ヨハンソンなどの有名人が、来年にインパクトを残すのではないかと予想されています。

“Billie,” for Eilish; “Jolene,” for Parton’s smash hit; and “Cosmo,” for Johansson’s young son, lead the pack.

Additionally, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may have inspired a generation of parents as “Archie” — the name of their 3-year-old son — lands on the “rising stars” list.

Writers for Nameverry say girls will continue to be given boyish nicknames like “Charlie and Frankie” — as has been the trend in recent years.

“Luxury was only given to 10 baby girls last year, but I have a feeling it will rise exponentially. We’ve seen many more babies (of both sexes) named Lux over the past few years, and Luxury is the obvious next step,” Nameberry stated.

"Sayer"は、「征也」、"Yuna"は、「結菜」、"Noah"は、「希愛」、"Romy"は、「呂美」と漢字で書くこともできますね。"Jolene"は、「樹里」が音が似ています。

去年人気だった、"Mia"は、「美愛」、"Luna"は、「留奈」という漢字で見たことがあります。

残念ながら、イチオシの"Wilde"は、漢字で書くのは難しいですが、もしかしたら「野生」と書いて「ワイルド」と読ませる親御さんがいらっしゃらるかも・・・。(^_^)
