教科の名前は、"English Language Arts"（イングリッシュランゲージアーツ）です。学校閉鎖の中、リモートラーニングでどんなことをしているのでしょう？

教育局の指示に従って見ていきます。

Days 1 & 2 　　　1、２日目

Genre: Short Fiction Task: Read and discover how a character changes in a story. 
ジャンル：短いフィクション：登場人物がどのように変わるのかお話を読んで見つけよう。

While you read: As you read think about and jot some notes:  
What is this story mostly about?  
What does the character want in the story? 
 How does the character change from the beginning to the end? 
 What causes the character to change? 
読んでいる間に次のことを考えて、ノートに書き留めてください。
このお話は大体どういう内容ですか？
お話の中のキャラクターは何が欲しいのでしょう？
そのキャラクターは始めと終わりではどう変わりますか？
なぜ、そのように変わるのでしょう？

ジャンル：フィクションタスク：お話を書こう。

Day 3 Directions: Write a fictional story. Create a character that changes throughout the story. 
３日目の指示：自分でお話を作って書こう。お話の中で変わっていくキャラクターを考えてください。

While you write: 　　書いている間、次のことを頭に入れてね。

 Review the stories you read yesterday and think about how the characters changed. For example, a character might change the way he/she thinks, acts, or feels.  To help get an idea for your story, think about: 
o Invent a character to tell a story about. 
o What does your character think and feel? 
o What is your character like at the beginning of the story? 
o What is your character like at the end of the story? 
o Who or what helped the character change in the story? 
　昨日読んだお話を思い出しましょう。そしてどのようにそのキャラクターが変わったのか考えてください。たとえば、そのキャラクターの考え方、行動、感じ方がどのように変わったのかなど。お話を作っていくために、次のことを考えてみましょう。
○お話の中のキャラクターを考えて作りましょう。
○そのキャラクターは何を考え、何を感じているのでしょう？
○お話の初めでそのキャラクターの様子はどうでしたか？
○お話の終わりではそのキャラクターの様子はどうですか？
お話の中でキャラクターが変わったのは誰あるいは何が原因だったのでしょう？　

"Storyline Online"がすごいです。そのまま日本でも英語学習の教材として使えます。

Genre: Biography Task: Read biographies about important people and jot what you are learning. 
重要人物の伝記を読んで学んだことを書こう。

Genre: Autobiography Task: Write your personal autobiography. 
自伝を書こう。

Days 9 & 10 　　　9日目、10日目

Day 9 Directions: Look around at your surroundings. Notice every detail, even the color of the paint on the walls, the floor, the smells that surround you, and what it sounds like in the space.

周りを見渡してください。細かいところ、壁や床の色、匂いや、音などにも気を付けてね。

Write a description of space. 
空間を描写して書いてみましょう。

As you look around your surroundings, think about the following:  
What do you see?  
Who is there?  
What do you usually do in this space? 
周りを見ながら次のことを考えてみましょう。
何が見えますか？
誰がいますか？
その場所で普段何をしていますか？

科学と社会もありますよ。特に社会科がすごいです。
