母は人の家を掃除し、私と私の兄弟にもっと良い生活を送らせるために3つの仕事をしました。
私は成功するとは期待されていなかったのですが、貧しかったドロシー・メイ・アダムスのおかげで成功することができました。

Today, I wish every mother a Happy Mother's Day from the bottom of my heart. You are the unsung heroes of New York. At the best of times, your job is the most difficult one in the world. And the past two years must have been among the hardest. Grandmothers haven't been able to visit with their sons and daughters or grandchildren. 

今日、すべてのお母さんに、心から母の日のお祝いを申し上げます。皆さんは、ニューヨークの知られざるヒーローです。一番いいときでも、仕事はこの世で一番難しいものです。そして、この2年間は、最も困難な時期であったに違いありません。おばあちゃんたちは、息子さんや娘さん、お孫さんたちに会いに行くことができませんでした。

Mothers with school-age children have struggled with online learning, and so much more.  This year is going to be different. As we engage and emerge stronger from the COVID-19 pandemic we're coming back together.  We're holding those we live close and making up for lost time. Mother's Day is very special to me. My mother cleaned houses and worked three jobs to give me and my siblings a better life. 

学齢期のお子さんをお持ちのお母さんは、オンライン学習などで苦労されました。 今年はこれまでと違う年になりそうです。私たちはCOVID-19の大流行を経験し、より強くなり立ち直りました。 私たちは近くに住んでいる人たちと力を合わせ、失われた時間を取り戻しつつあるのです。母の日は私にとってとても特別な日です。私の母は人の家の掃除をし、3つの仕事を掛け持ちして、私の兄弟がより良い生活を送れるようにしてくれました。

When I was scared or unsure, she would say: "Baby, you got this, Eric. " I wasn't supposed to make it, but I did because Dorothy Mae Adams-Streeter, because of the sacrifices she made and values she instilled in me. Like every son or daughter, I want to make my mother proud. We cherish all the mothers out there. We are so grateful for all that you do for us each and every day. Happy Mother's Day to all.

私が怖かったり、自信がなかったりすると、母はこう言ったものです。「可愛いエリック、私がいるでしょ。」私は成功するとは思われていなかったところを、貧しかったドロシー・メイ・アダムスのおかげで成功しました。母の犠牲と、そして母が私に植え付けた価値観のおかげです。すべての息子や娘がそうであるように、私も母を誇りに思いたいのです。世の中のすべての母親を大切にしましょう。毎日毎日、私たちのためにしてくれることに、とても感謝しています。みなさん、母の日おめでとう！
