The Museum of the City of New York (MCNY) is a history and art museum in Manhattan, New York City, New York. It was founded by Henry Collins Brown, in 1923 to preserve and present the history of New York City, and its people.

ニューヨーク市博物館はニューヨーク州、ニューヨーク市、マンハッタンにある歴史とアートの博物館です。ニューヨーク市とその人々の歴史を保存し、提示するために、1923年、ヘンリー・コリンズ・ブラウンによって建てられました。

The museum is a private non-profit organization which receives government support as a member of New York City's Cultural Institutions Group, commonly known as "CIG"s. Its other sources of income are endowments, admission fees, and contributions.

The museum is hosting the "New York At Its Core" permanent exhibition, the first-ever museum presentation of New York City's full history.

Join us for a free, outdoor day of intergenerational learning, empowerment, action, and art inspired by the city’s thriving climate activism scene. Civically engaged citizens of all ages are a critical part in the response to the climate crisis! Hear from inspiring young climate activists at our Speak-out forum; participate in hands-on environmental educational activities; check out our Green Fair featuring eco-conscious local vendors and artisans; and enjoy a live performance by Control the Sound, a young rock band from Brooklyn.

参加は無料です。ニューヨークが行っている活発な気候変動の取り組みをきっかけにして、世代を越えて学び、自信をつけ、活動し芸術に触れる野外活動の一日です。みんなの問題として考える全ての世代の市民が気候危機問題の中心なのです。スピークアウト・フォーラムでは若き気候変動活動家の話に耳を傾けてください。現場で行う環境教育活動に参加してください。エコ意識の高い地元のベンダーと職人たちがいる『グリーンフェア』に来てください。そしてブルックリン出身の若きロックバンドのコントロール・ザ・サウンドのライブパフォーマンスを楽しんでください。

This event accompanies the Museum's current exhibition, Rising Tide: Visualizing the Human Costs of the Climate Crisis, and our ongoing exhibition Activist New York.

このイベントは博物館が現在展示中の『水位の上昇』や常設のアクティビスト・ニューヨークの展示と関連したものです。『水位の上昇』の展示では気候変動危機により、人類が被るコストを目に見える形で展示しています。

The Waterfront Alliance inspires and effects resilient, revitalized, and accessible coastlines for all communities. After more than a decade of leading the charge in how the New York metropolitan region views and uses its harbor, and with more than 1,000 Alliance Partners committed to bringing real change to our region’s 700+ miles of coastline, in 2019 the Waterfront Alliance stepped into a new and critical leadership role to define New York Harbor’s response to sea level rise and coastal storms. 

ウォーターフロント連盟はすべての地域住民のために（ニューヨーク市の）水辺を、回復力があって、活力があり、利用しやすい所にできるよう呼びかけ、実現していきます。ニューヨーク大都市圏の港湾をどのように見、また使用するかに先導的にかかわって10年以上たち、千を超える連盟、協力者と共に700マイル以上に渡る水辺の改善に取り組んできました。そして2019年、ウォーターフロント連盟はニューヨークの港の潮位の上昇と暴風雨の対処方法を示すという新たなそして重要な主導的役割を担うことになりました。

Our crucial, long-term focus on increasing waterfront accessibility for all, along with our efforts to advocate for a working waterfront that is a vital source of business activity and well-paying jobs and educating the next generation of waterfront stewards, continue as essential pillars of our work to create a well-adapted and resilient New York Harbor. 

ウォーターフロントを皆さんにますます広く利用していただけるための重要で長期に渡る我々の関心は、ビジネス活動や十分な賃金が得られる仕事を生み出し、また将来の水辺を担う人材育成の源となる「役に立つウォーターフロント」を提唱する我々の努力は、周囲にうまく適応しながら、回復力のあるニューヨーク・ハーバーを造るための仕事の重要な柱としてこれからも続けていきます。

"Green Fest” という２語の間に、Activist New Yorkという文字が挟んであるのは、どうも、ただの「緑のお祭り」ではなくて、「気候変動問題」に対して、主に「潮位の上昇」を意識した取り組みになっているからのようです。
