7月４日はアメリカの独立記念日です。

ニューヨークでは毎年この日に花火が上がります。去年は新型コロナウィルスの影響で、人が集まるのを避けるために、そして、エッセンシャルワーカーを讃えるために、6月29日から順次ニューヨークシティの５つの区のどこかで、いつか分からない時間に５分間花火を上げ、７月４日はフィナーレでエンパイアステートビルから上げて動画配信となりました。

Independence Day, commonly known as the Fourth of July is a Federal Holiday in the US commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4th 1776 declaring independence from the British marking the birth of the United States of America. 

独立記念日は７月４日でアメリカの祝日として知られており、英国から独立を宣言した1776年7月４日の宣言の採択をお祝いします。この日がアメリカ合衆国の誕生の日です。

Families usually celebrate Independence Day organizing picnics, barbecues and attending carnivals, parades, fireworks, fairs and baseball games. All parades usually take place in the morning and are then followed by other celebration like barbecues and picnics. Everything is decorated with the colors of the American flag (red, white and blue). In New York, the evening of July 4th, a fireworks display is organized by the famous department store Macy’s.

家族ではいつもは通常独立記念日はピクニックを計画したり、バーベキューをしたり、お祭りや、パレード、花火、フェアーや野球の試合を見に行ったりします。パレードはどれも午前中です。そしてその後バーベキューやピクニックなどをしてお祝いします。すべてアメリカの国旗の色（赤、白、青）で飾られます。ニューヨークでは、７月４日の夜はメイシーズという有名なデパートが主催する花火大会があります。

July 4th in New York: Where to See The Fireworks From
ニューヨークでの７月４日：花火をどこから見たらよいか

In New York, on the evening of July 4th, you can't miss the famous Fireworks Show organized by department stores Macy's to celebrate America's Birthday. The shooting platforms are located along the East River, and from 9:30 pm they start shooting off the fireworks that light up the Brooklyn Bridge and the Manhattan skyline. If you want to get a good spot, it's recommended to get there early, preferably in the early hours of the afternoon, if you want to see the "party", the best location and views you will have are from Brooklyn Park and the Promenade in Brooklyn, but if you want to stay in Manhattan, you can find a spot along the Lower East Side.

ニューヨークでは、アメリカの誕生をお祝いするメイシーズ（デパート）による７月４日の夜に有名な花火大会は見逃せませんよ。打ち上げはイーストリーバー沿いで行われます。午後９時半からスタートです。ブルックリンブリッジやマンハッタンのスカイラインが映えます。いい場所をとりたいなら、早めに行くことをお勧めします。できれば午後の早い時間かな。もし「パーティー」た見たいなら、最もいい場所はブルックリンパークやブルックリンのプロムナードでしょう。マンハッタンにいたいなら、ローワァー・イーストサイドにいい場所があるわ。

Do as most New Yorkers do, dress comfortably and remember that summer is hot in New York but in the evening it can always change ... bring a blanket, soft drinks, (NO ALCOHOL ALLOWED), something to eat ... and camera with a fully charged battery ... even better your iPhone ... and celebrate this Independence Day with us all :-)

７月４日のニューヨーククルーズ

The Cruises that are organized for the 4th of July are the most requested and loved by both tourists and New Yorkers. The view of illuminated Manhattan is in itself spectacular, imagine it with the addition of the Fires ... the Brooklyn Bridge, the Bay with the Statue of Liberty ... Do not miss it.

７月４日に（近くで花火が見られる）クルーズが出ます。これに乗るって、観光客ばかりでなくニューヨーカーからも最もリクエストがあることだし、みんな一番やりたいって思ってることだと思う。イルミネーションに彩られたマンハッタンの眺めはそれだけで、素晴らしい！それに花火や、ブルックリンブリッジ、自由の女神も見れるのよ！絶対おすすめ！

フィラデルフィアにはツアーもあるし、バスも出ています。日帰りできます。
ここには新型コロナについて何も注意が書いてありません。ニューヨークが全面オープンはしたものの、CDCのファウチ所長は、ワクチンを打ってもマスクはすべきだって言ってる。大丈夫なんでしょうか。ちょっと調べてみますね。
