ブライアント・パーク看板に、Meet at the Reading Room on the 42nd Street allee
「リーディングルームで会いましょう」と書いてありました。

ロングマンによると・・・・
"room"
1. a part of the inside of a building that has its own walls, floor, and ceiling
　建物の中の一部で壁、床、天井がある
と定義されています。

ところが、
2. space somewhere for a particular thing, person, or activity
ある特定のもの、人、活動のための場所
という意味もあります。
ブライアント・パークにその"Reading Room"があるのです。
これです。

ガイドラインが書いてあります。写します。
Guidelines
You are welcome to the free use of newspapers, magazines, and books.
Please keep all reading materials inside the Reading Room area.
A Reading Room Coordinator is available to help you find your reading materials.
When you are finished, please return all materials to the carts or the coordinator.
新聞や雑誌、本を自由にお読みください。リーディングルームの外には持ち出さないでください。コーディネーターがお読みになりたい者を探すお手伝いをいたします。
読み終わりましたらすべてカートに戻すか、コーディネーターにお渡しください。

Speak in a conversational tone at all times.

Take all cellphone calls outside the Reading Room area.

The Reading Room is a smoke-free environment.
禁煙です。

No board games. This area is reserved for Reading Room users.
ボードゲーム禁止。このエリアはリーディングルームのご利用のみです。

Minor children must be accompanied by an adult.
未就学児には大人の同伴が必要です。
