そのとき、スタジオはどういう対応をしたのでしょうか？
今日はそのことを探ってみます。

その中からひとつ"String Drawing"（糸を使ったお絵かき）をご紹介します。
先生はラングドンさんです。

スクリプトを載せておきますから、聞き取れなかったところを後で確認して、もう一度聞いてみてくださいね。

Use what you already have in the house.
おうちにあるものを使ってね。

I'm going to need a pencil or a pen which I found in my kitchen drawer.
私はキッチンの引き出しで見つけた鉛筆やペンを使うわ。

Next, I'll need some string I grabbed a spool of thread from my sewing box.or you could also use yarn.
私はソーイングボックスから糸を一本持ってきたわ。毛糸でもいいわね。

Next, I'll need a pair of scissors to cut my string, and last I'll need a few piece of paper.
 はさみも必要ね。糸を切ったりするから。それから紙を何枚か。

Oh and my imagination.
あ、想像力も必要ね。

The first thing I'll need is to cut a piece of string and drop it on my paper.
まず、糸を切って、紙の上に落とします。

Next, I'm going to draw the string just how it looks and I'm gona let my imagination start to go to work.   what does this look like I see a flower petal.
次にその糸の通りに線を描きます。そして創造力の出番よ。

I'm going to add another one and another one and a stem and now I'm going to add a second flower and a third one and one more.
もう一つ付け足すわね。そしてもう一つ。。。茎を描いて、２本目の花を描いて、３本目、４本目。。。

Here's another string when I drew it on my paper.
もう一本の糸で描いたのがこれ。

 The loop on the left reminded me of an ear so I drew a koala.
左のループが耳みたいだったから、コアラにしたの。

Here's my friend Liesel's string  she's in first grade.
これは１年生のリーゼルが描いたもの。

She made drawings with her grandmother.
おばあちゃんと一緒に描いたんだって。

She saw in her string a seagull then she added a crab and some people surfing.
糸がカモメに見えたから、カニやサーフィンしてる人を付け足したのね。

Sometimes when I drop a string I don't have ideas right away so I draw the string and then I just keep drawing to make a design and a bigger design and I might add color too.
糸を落として何もアイデアが浮かんでこないときは、それを(そのまま）書いて、それを続けて一つの大きなデザインにしたの。色を付けてもいいわね。

Here's one more for fun my friend Mark dropped this piece of string and started drawing on his iPad. He saw a pair of glasses so he drew a man and then colored him in .
もう一つの面白い作品です。マークは糸を落としてアイパッドで描き始めたの。眼鏡に見えたから男の人にして、色をつけたの。

まず、発見の喜びがあって、やる気が出るんですね。子供たちにやる気を出させるということは、彼らに発見の喜びを与えることだと思います。これはすべての学びに共通していることです。
今日のビデオは、手軽にできそうですね。お家でお子様と一緒にするととても楽しいと思います。お子様の才能にオドロクかも。。。展覧会で入賞しても、ニューヨークのプロの芸術家に教わった手法だってことは内緒で・・・。
