The tulip tree (also known as a tulip poplar and fiddletree) is native to eastern North America and can grow up to 160 feet tall, making it valuable tree to the timber industry. Its nectar-yielding flowers are a lovely pale green and yellow, and its unique leaves are bright green until their fall transition to gold. Tulip trees can be found throughout Central Park, but most notably in the North Woods.

チューリップツリー（別名：チューリップポプラ、フィドルツリー）は、北アメリカ東部原産で、高さは160フィートにもなり、木材産業にとって貴重な木です。蜜を吸う花は淡い緑と黄色で美しく、独特の葉は明るい緑から秋には黄金色に変化します。チューリップの木はセントラルパークのあちこちで見ることができますが、特にノースウッズの木が有名です。

Ginkgo biloba—or the ginkgo as it’s commonly known—is a tree native to China. Its order Ginkgoales first appeared over 290 million years ago, making this tree a living fossil. Park visitors can easily recognize the ginkgo for its gorgeous, fan-shaped leaves, and in the fall, its bright gold foliage that creates a beautiful carpet of leaves on the ground. Ginkgoes can be found throughout Central Park, but especially by Cherry Hill, Umpire Rock, and the West 86–96th Street Landscape.
