アメリカの最低賃金は、地域や従業員の数などによって、違います。
ここに面白いツールがありますので、やってみます。自分の賃金が正当に支払われているかどうかを確かめるものです。

まず読んでみます。ニューヨーク州労働課がのせているものです。

This is a tool to help you determine the minimum cash wage to be paid to you by your employer. Several factors can affect your minimum wage, including the date, the location of your employment, and any tips you receive.
While this tool does account for common scenarios, there are additional aspects of minimum wage law not covered by this tool. These aspects may result in further adjustments to your pay. 
このツールは、雇用主によって支払われる最低賃金がわかるものです。最低賃金にはいくつかの要因が関わってきます。期間や働いている場所、チップを受け取っているかなどです。
このツールは一般の状況を示していますが、カバー仕切れていない場合もあります。こうした場合はさらに調整をしていただく必要があります。

利益を求めない雇用者または団体というのは、特定の宗教、慈善活動、教育を目的として活動していている団体や組織、募金団体、基金、財団のことです。株主への配当はありません。

ただ、どこに行っても「いらっしゃいませ！」「ありがとうございました！」「またのお越しをお待ちしております！」「～人様ご来店です！」「～へようこそ！」
という、声はありません。

店員同志、私的なおしゃべりをしている姿もよく見ます。
「働く」ことに関しては、日本の労働者のほうが優れている、もしくは会社全体の社員教育が行き届いている、という感想を持ちます。（もちろん一概には言えませんが・・・。）
