ニューヨークタイムズの、サマーアカデミーには、誰でも参加できるわけではありません。人数に限りがあるので、応募して審査を受け選別されます。

受講料は無料ではありません。ニューヨークタイムズの場合、ひとつのコースで、＄5,975（約92万円）かかります。２週間のプログラムで海外からも応募することができ、寮もあります。
